Mark’s passion for design and love for the outdoors began at an early age. Frequent visits to the nations National Parks and exploring the mountains of the Black Hills kindled his fondness for nature and the landscape. These early experiences helped foster his love for landscape architecture, ultimately leading him to earn a degree in Landscape Architecture from South Dakota State University. His breadth of experience includes designing sites, parks, and Trails throughout the Mountain West, and MidWest. Outside of designing, Mark enjoys fly fishing, SUP,  mountain biking, and skiing.

Mark is a Landscape Architect with over 18 years of private practice experience. His experiences ranges from master planning, federal program management, custom home designs, commercial design, parks, trails, recreation facilities, and educational campuses. He has extensive experience taking projects from the conception to ribbon cutting.

As a CLARB Certified Landscape Architect, his passion for and expertise in sustainable planning and design informs all aspects of the STUDIO’s work. Mark is committed to facilitating processes that foster clear client communication and collaboration to achieve superior results.  Mark has served multiple terms as President of the Nebraska Dakotas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
